Abstract

Objectives: Survey of serum Gamma Glutamyl Transferase activity in patients with coronary artery disease. Evaluate the correlation between serum Gamma Glutamyl Transferase activity with age, sex, smoking, blood pressure, BMI, Troponin T. Methods: Cross section description. Results: - The mean activity of GGT in patients with coronary artery disease was 98.81 ± 42.42U / L; The mean activity of the mean serum GGT in the ischemic heart disease group was 80.81 ± 25.41U / L, lower than the mean activity of the stable ARB group was 96.65 ± 30.23 U / L and myocardial infarction was 120.01 ± 40.34U /L. The difference was statistically significant (p <0.05). Mean serum GGT activity in patients ≥60 years old was 88.12 ± 34.72U / L, lower than that of patients <60 years old, 98.92 ± 32.65U / L, the difference was not significant. statistics (p> 0.05); - There is a moderate positive correlation between GGT activity with age (r = 0.292; p <0.05), with systolic blood pressure (r = 0.345; p <0.05), and with BMI (r = 0.429) ; p <0.01) and with Troponin T (r = 0.136; p <0.05). There was no correlation between GGT and diastolic blood pressure. Conclusion: Our study showed that serum Gamma Glutamyl Transferase activity increased in patients with coronary artery disease and increased with manifestations of coronary artery disease, lack of localized cardiomyopathy, to unstable angina muscle and heart attack. At the same time, serum Gamma Glutamyl Transferase activity is associated with and correlated with traditional cardiovascular risk factors.
