Abstract

Objective: To assess the level of risk diabetes prediction in patients with hypertension.

Subjects and research methods: The study was conducted on 100 patients with essential hypertension. All patients are asked for clinical examination. Determination of age, gender, waist circumference, BMI, physical activity, eating fruits and vegetables daily fresh fruit, a history of hyperglycemia, diabetes relatives fill out the research.

Results: Forecasting rate of type 2 diabetes, according to a scale FINDRISC is 10.12%; if adjusted BMI and waist circumference suitable for Asians, the rate of predicting the risk of type 2 diabetes after 10 years up to 19.08%. Conclusion: Scale FINDRISC should be widely applied to control diabetes type 2 centers on the subjects at risk.
