Abstract
Introduction: Allergic rhinitis is a common chronic disease, prevalent in primary health care in most countries. Specific desensitization is the best treatment for allergic rhinitis, but it is unlikely to be widely available. Many international guidelines recommend nasal corticosteroids as first-line therapy for patients with allergic rhinitis. Objective: Assessment the effects of corticosteroid nose spray in treatment allergic rhinitis in Tiengiang hospital. Method: Case series. Results: Allergic rhinitis is a common disease, common symptoms are nasal itching, sneezing, runny nose in over 90% of patients, the most common physical symptom is pale nasal mucosa (86.4%) and have a lot of mucus in the nose (72.9%). Corticosteroid nasal spray has the effect of improving clinical symptoms of allergic rhinitis after 14 days of treatment: 97.1% of patients had no symptoms of a clear runny nose, 94.1% of patients had no symptoms sneezing and 91.5% of patients no longer had symptoms of itchy nose. Conclusions: Corticosteroid nasal spray has the effect of improving the clinical symptoms of allergic rhinitis after 14 days of treatment.
