Abstract
Objective: To survey the proportion of prediabetes in overweight and obesity patients with hypertension. Methodology: A cross- sectional descriptive study on 82 overweight and obesity patients with hypertension or being treated for hypertension at Hue Central Hospital from April 2020 to November 2021. Include in the study the cases satisfying the selection criteria. Perform oral glucose tolerance test: determine blood glucose at two times G0, G2.Test HbA1C. Data processing using SPSS 20.0 software. Results: Prediabetes rate accounted for 69.5%, prediabetes rate based on G0, G2, HbA1c respectively 31,7%; 43,9%; 62,2%. Prediabetes rate based on 2 criteria G0 and G2 is 17,1%. Prediabetes rate based on 2 criteria G0 and HbA1c is 19,5%. Prediabetes rate based on 2 criteria G2 and HbA1c is 25,6%. Prediabetes rate based on 3 criteria G0 and G2 and HbA1c is 12,2%.
