Abstract
Objectives: 1. To survey the prevalence of microalbuminuria (MAU) and diabetic retinopathy(DR) among newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes mellius in Hanoi Medical University Hospital. 2. To determinethe factors associated with microalbuminuria and diabetic retinopathy in newly diagnosed T2DM. Subjects: 103 patients with newly diagnosed T2DM at Hanoi Medical University Hospital from November 2019 to August 2020. Method: Cross-sectional study. Results and conclusions: The prevalence of microalbuminuria and diabetic retinopathy were 33.98% and 3.9%. Blood pressure was associated with microalbuminuria; the factors including age, blood pressure, total cholesterol, LDL-c were associated with diabetic retinopathy in this study; these difference were statistically significant with p< 0.05.
