Abstract
Background: Although thyroid nodules and benign goiter are very common disorder, the effectiveness of thyroid hormone suppressive therapy in reducing the volume for which is controversial. So we decide to perform the research to evaluation effective of thyroid hormone suppressive therapy for thyroid nodules and benign goiter. Objective: All out patients have been diagnosed thyroid nodules or benign goiter and treated about 06 month with thyroid hormone suppressive (Thyroxine-T4) in Tien Giang Center General Hopital. Material and method: Cross-sectional study. Results: Reduction in diameter of thyroid nodule and benign goiter ≥ 50%;≥ 25%;≥10%; growing; < 10% were 2.3%;11.4%;31.8%;31.8%;22.7%. Average effective rate was 3.5%
