Abstract
Objectives: (1) To describe the results of nursing care of patients after endoscopic thyroid surgery at the National Hospital of
Endocrinology in 2023; (2) To analyze the relationships between nursing care and its related factors. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted on 160 patients with endoscopic thyroid from march to July 2023 in the National Hospital of Endocrinology. Demographic data questionaire, VAS, and the results of nursing care questionnaire were used to collect data. Results: 99.67% of participants fully received medication orders, 93.75% received adequate nutrition care, 95.62% received good counseling on health education, and 91.25% received good spiritual care. There was a significant difference between the VAS score and age, BMI, and duration of surgery. Meanwhile, there was non-significant difference between the results of nusing care and the other related factors (p>0.05). Conclusions: Patients who underwent endoscopic thyroid sugery received comprehensive post-operative care, comprising of pain management, health education counseling, nutritional support, personal hygiene maintenance, execution of medical orders, and continuous patient monitoring. Moving forward, further research with a larger sample size is warranted to identify factors associated with nursing care. This will enable the implementation of appropriate interventions to enhance the quality of nursing care.
