Abstract

Introduction: End stage renal disease is a common disease with lots of serious disturbances and high mortality rate. Besides, cardiovascular risk factors are popular and increase the morbidity of hypertension, blood lipid and glucose disorders in these patients. Cardiovascular risk factors in the ESRD disease patients with dialysis are serious problem which affects both prognosis and treatment method. There are many studies about cardiovascular risk factors in the objects, but in Vietnam still in lack. Objects and Methods: Cross sectional study, 85 ESRD patients on dialysis. Characteristics such as age, gender, inheritance, duration of dialysis, mean urine volume, Kt/V index, blood pressure. Tests such as lipid profile, fasting glucose. Medical statistical method is applied. Results: ESRD on dialysis with mean duration 54.92 ± 38.84 months, mean urine volume 234.59 ± 390.858 ml/24 hours, Kt/V ≥ 1.2 accounts for 75.3%, cardiac risk factor in hereditary 23,53%; hypertension 72,90 %; hypercholesterolaemia 9,41%; hypertriglyceridaemia 34,1%; HDL-C decreasing 47,1%; hyperglyceamia 12,94%. Conclusion: Hereditary, hypertension, hypertriglyceridaemia, HDL-C decreasing are common cardiovascular risk factors in ESRD patients on dialysis.
