Abstract
Objective: To describe the characteristics of arhythmia on electrocardiogram and analyse related factors in patients with Graves' disease treated at Yen Bai Hospital of Endocrinology in 2022. Research subjects and methods: A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted on 104 subjects with Graves' disease who received first hospitalized treatment at the Endocrine Hospital of Yen Bai province from January to December 2022. Results: The female accounted for 87.5% and the male 12.5%. male/female ratio was 1/7. The youngest age was 15 years old, the oldest was 72 years old. 93.3% of subjects had elevated T3 levels and 98.1% had elevated FT4 blood levels. 100% of subjects had decreased TSH levels anh 100% of subjects had elevated TRAb levels in the blood. The rate of arrhythmia was 7.7%. Sinus tachycardia: 92.3%: Atrial fibrillation: 3.85%; Extrasystole: 3.85%; There was an association between arrhythmia and sex and thyroid hormone T3 and F4 (p < 0.05). Conclusion: Gender and thyroid hormone (T3 and FT4) are factors related to arrhythmia. Electrocardiogram recording should be done regularly in all Basedow patients to help predict and prevent cardiovascular risks and complications for the patien.
